Thank you for visiting the Silver Crier. After over 15 years serving Califonia homeowners, I find that a lot of the time I invest with my clients is focused on discussing general retirement concerns and sharing resources with them. These resources are often jotted down on a single sheet of paper, possibly to be misplaced later.
In an effort to make this sharing process a bit smoother for the Boomers, Zoomers, and Seniors I serve, and their families, I decided to create this resource page, as a way to give back and to have a site that can be updated and easily shared with anyone in need.
Entering retirement can feel like trying to navigate a labyrinth and, while labyrinths can be fun when we choose to enter, what we seek in times of need is a clear path to solutions and resources.
If you have a resource you'd like to share, please contact me so I can add it.
As always, I am here to serve my clients, their families, their advisors, their neighbors and their friends.
I am not endorsing or recommending any of the sites shared herein. I am simply sharing some of the resources I have found valuable over the past decade and a half.
If I can be of assistance in any way, please contact me by one of the methods below. I welcome your questions and your feedback!
We are all looking for the same things as we age; tips on how to maintain our health, s t r e t c h our wealth, and share the wisdom we have gained over the decades.
Many of the resources herein are national non-profits however, I have focused heavily on local non-profits and for-profits where my clients live and work.
This site is a complilation of retirement-related resources and is being provided for the benefit of older Americans, their families, advisors and caregivers.
I do not sell or share your information with anyone.
Americans at retirement age hold about 75% of their net worth in the form of housing wealth. Current academic research suggests that understanding how and when to incorporate one's home equity into a tax-free retirement income stream greatly increases the probabilty of Cash Flow Survival, a.k.a. NOT running out of money during retirement.
If you are looking for ways to stay near family, or move closer to family, while maintaining your independence and increasing tax-free cash flow, a HECM for Purchase or Jumbo Reverse Line of Credit may be the answer. Maximum loan amounts are now four million dollars.
While I have listed hundreds of local and national resources that you may find helpful at differenct junctures in your life, I don't know what I don't know. If you know of a resource that may be helpful to others, please send me an email with the information and why you believe it should be added to the Silver Crier. Thanks in advance for your contribution!
Lucky for us, we are not the only ones getting older (and wiser). As the Boomers and Seniors become more visible in our communities (growing from 13% to 26% of the population this decade), government agencies, academic think tanks, and universities are joining forces to help blaze a path to maximize financial security for retirees.
